I have read a book entitled 'Swami' written by Ra.Ganapathi (who passed away last week), who authored the colossal 'Dheivathin Kural' - 7 volumes. Swami gives a vivid account of the life of Saibaba. In that book, there is a mention about Saibaba meeting MKT, and MKT getting his eyesight back, for a short while. I was in touch with a few very old, staunch sai devotees at that time, and I got this news from them as well ( They have not read the book). But I don't know the authenticity of the incident, as the eye witness of the meeting, MKT's daughter has clearly given the details.
But, is that the only meeting they had? Coz, in Swami, Ra. Ganapathy says that, MKT pleaded baba that he can't withstand the pain of the diseases, and Baba replied 'I'll give you a new body'. In Swami, there is no mention of the rings Baba gave and the subsequent incidents. It was then, Ra. Ganapathy says, that Baba blessed MKT with eyesight for a while.
I read Swami first, before ten years. And then I spoke with the old devotees. Both incidents correlate. Hence, I personally think there is a probability that the incident has happened.
I personally believe that Ra.Ganapathy was a man of his words, as he had written numerous books, about the Kanchi sage, Ramanar and Baba, and in all those books, he, so far up to my knowledge, has not meddled up with the facts. He still is considered as an authentic writer. But again, it depends on the reader to decide.
PS:- 1. Of course, the incident loses it's authenticity, if the point of Saibaba - a fraud' comes in to picture. It depends on individuals to take it up, as they conceive. I read ur post today, and since the 'Swami' reference came to my mind, wanted to write to u.
2. Swami is of 2 volumes. The referred incident occurs in the first volume. I forgot the chapter, though. The book is in English too, with the name 'Baba: Satya Sai'.

சாட் புரட்டிப்போட்டதில் இப்போது சாரு கோஷ்டியும் தெய்வத்தின் குரல்வளையைக் கெட்டியாய்ப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுவிட்டார்கள் என்று தெரிகிறது.

பாகவதர் - பாபா சந்திப்பு இருமுறை நிகழ்ந்துள்ளது என்று பாகவதரின் மகள் சொல்வதையும் மீறி இன்னும் சில முறை நடந்திருக்கலாம் என்று நீங்கள் நினைப்பதற்கான சாத்தியக்கூறுகள் என்ன?வெறும் ஹேஷ்யமாய் விட்டுவிட்டீர்கள்.

தியாகையர் முன்னால் ராமர் பிரத்தியட்சமானார் என்பதை உண்மையில்லை நடந்திருக்க வாய்ப்பில்லையென்று எப்படிச் சொல்ல முடியும் என 2001 வாக்கில் திருச்சி அலுவலகத்தில் மாறி மாறி புல்லால் தடவி அரிப்பில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த இரண்டு பரிசுத்த ஐயர்-ஐயங்கார் ஆவிகளுக்கு நானே சாட்சியாய் இருந்திருக்கிறேன். அப்போது ஓஷோ-வேப்பிலையைக் கொண்டுதான் அவர்களை அடித்தேன்.

Question – Why does Man need God?
Osho – It is out of fear. God is not needed at all. Man has lived in so much fear that he has needed some protection. There was fear of disease, there was fear of death — mostly it is death that makes man so afraid. He needs somebody who is beyond death to protect him.
God is not a discovery, it is an invention. Priests found it very convenient to exploit in the name of God. The Vedas say that they are written by God, and there are such stupid things in the old Vedas that if God has written them, then God is condemned along with the Vedas.
Christians say The Bible is written by God, and if The Bible is written by God — there are at least five hundred pages of sheer pornography in The Bible — then God is the greatest pornographer in the whole existence. If you look in the Hindu PURANAS you will find just pornography. Hindus have even made shivalinga a god. It is good that Sigmund Freud never came to know about shivalinga — that there are people who are worshipping phallic symbols in their temples without any idea what they are worshipping.
There is no God. All the arguments for God are refuted. Those who have really reached to the highest point of consciousness have never accepted the idea of God. Patanjali, the man who single-handedly created the whole science of Yoga, does not believe in God. Buddha, perhaps the greatest man who has ever walked on the earth was, as H.G Wells wrote about him, “the most godless person yet the most godly.”
There is not a single argument in favor of God. It is an absolutely useless hypothesis, and it will be good if we drop that hypothesis completely, because with that dropping, Mohammedanism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity — all simply disappear. And their churches and their thousands of cardinals and bishops and popes, who are simply nothing but parasites on humanity, also disappear.
God is the greatest calamity. Yes, people should be godly — that means they should be truthful, they should be sincere, they should be loving, they should be conscious. That makes them godly, but that does not make them God.
I am destroying God and spreading godliness to every human being. It is better that it is spread far and wide as a quality, as a fragrance, rather than being confined to a statue in a temple and worshiped. When you can be it, why worship it?
Come back again. And try to see that journalism in India comes to the same level as it is in the rest of the world. It should not lag behind. It can be a great protector of freedom, of individuals against the vast machinery of bureaucracy. A single individual cannot do anything.
